WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT LEGACY DULCIMERS?
"I had wanted to get a hammered dulcimer ever since I was introduced to the music of Rich Mullins, but they are not the type of instrument you find in your local music shops. I came across Legacy Dulcimers' website and decided to give peter a call. Finding out that he was also a Mullins fan was definitely an ice breaker, but it was his passion for the dulcimer's legacy and his personality that helped me in taking the plunge. He was extremely helpful in answering my many questions and there was not even the slightest hint of pressure to make a purchase. Now to the instrument! Even if you were to purchase the instrument and never play it, you would not have wasted your money, for it is a work of art. However, you would be missing out on the best part. Peter's hammered dulcimers live up to their meaning, for the sound is beautiful. Listening to it while you play(even for an amateur like me) takes all the work out of practising. If you are thinking about getting a hammered dulcimer, do not hesitate to give peter a call. You'll be so glad you did."

"I've never been so pleased with an instrument! It's fantastic to look at, it sounds bright and clear, brilliant sustain (!!!), and I still can't quite believe the amount of resonance in the soundchamber. Absolutely gorgeous! The whole dulcimer just looks 'right', if that makes sense. Thank you very much."

"Words are not enough to express just how much I am truly enjoying my Legacy 16/16 dulcimer. It's a pleasure to play and the hours spent practising just seem to fly by. Its rich tone and depth of sound continues to amaze both friends and family. Peter's dulcimers are very beautiful and affordable instruments that anyone can play. Thanks Peter!"

"Peter is definitely leaving an excellent legacy with these instruments. Hammered dulcimers are known for their etheral, meditative sound, and every Legacy dulcimer I have played has a beautifully rich, clear and clean sound. He built one specially for me with a built-in pick up, which is very useful for group performances and recording purposes. I have even used it in a rock band to amazing effect. I must add that peter is an all around amazing person, very knowledgeable and most helpful. If you believe that a craftsman's personality affects the instrument's sound, you can't go wrong with a Legacy dulcimer."

"A Legacy Dulcimer is an instrument of beauty: sound and sight. I have spent many happy hours playing it. Thanks, peter, for building such a wonderful instrument for me as well as for all the helpful advice."

"I have known peter nemeth for about two decades. One thing you will figure out if you are lucky enough to get to know him is that he does not jump on the normal 'band wagons' many of us North Americans do. JEEPERS, he got into dulcimers! That tells you something of his off-the-beaten-track kind of taste for life. Through Rich Mullins' music, the dulcimer sparked off a raging fire that still burns decades later within peter's musically creative heart... so much so that not only did he latch on to dulcimers, he was drawn into playing and building them. Peter is not only an enthusiast, he keeps the dulcimer flame burning. Thankfully we have a tremendously passionate practicioner/craftsman to ensure that the magic of a dulcimer will continue to spread and touch many people."

"This is a dulcimer with a beautiful, rich tone, and several people have commented on the impressive length of time that a note sustains. With its fulness of tone it also responds well to different styles of playing, from slow and thoughtful to light and fast. This dulcimer holds its pitch quite well; it doesn't fall out of tune as quickly as some dulcimers. It is also beautifully designed and constructed. The finish accentuates the natural grain of the wood. The instrument is a pleasure to play."

"I'm a player for about the past ten years, and owner of one of peter's instruments. They are skillfully constructed, pleasing to look at, and a pleasure to listen to! Peter is an artist, with a passion for his work."
